Still alive, still playing WAR. Just very very bad at time management.
Started a Witch Elf. First impressions: very dangerous but also very squishy. Archmages fear me.
I have trouble noticing the change to Skull Thumper. Will need to test more. Also Trip’Em Up got changed it seems.
Got a new title last night, for taking 25 keeps. The Encroacher. So-so, as far as coolness goes. Still better than The Squatter though!
Can’t for the life of me figure out why my screenshots look like roadkill. The game looks damn fine, yet whenever I push that Print Screen key, the output looks like it was filtered through a rat’s arse. Help?
A couple of days of playing Witch Elf really make you appreciate the tankiness of Black Orcs.
Need to prod El G to write more Marauder stuff.
And last, in case you haven’t noticed, I added some new images to the blog (top right side). They should change with every refresh/page opened.

Cool title called “The Earth Shaker” you can get by engaging a named giant.
See my post at:

I have link to WarDB on his location. Also a pic of him and I goign at it. I agree on screen pics. Seems screenshots are not as good as in game.

What are you using to view your screenshots?
I found Microsofts default picture viewer in Vista to make screenshots look like crap, but when I opened them in something like Google’s Piscasa or Photoshop, they look perfectly fine.
So if you are using Microsofts viewer, try something new to view your screenshots.

XnView, it’s freeware and it’s like old school ACDSee before they started adding useless crap to it.
And it’s not really a viewer problem, I opened some in photoshop as well, only to confirm that they indeed look pretty godawful.

I hear you mean, same problem here with the screen shots.
And easy on the cattle prod, I have a couple of ideas in the brewing.

WAR’s default screen shots are low rez, so they don’t take up a bunch of space I guess. If you want to take a high rez screeny you can hit Shift + Print Screen. I’ve taken both but not actually tested the quality difference between them. Typically I do the normal SS for scenario scoreboards or other simple stuff like that and the high rez SS for nice pics where I remove the UI (first boss kills etc.)
